About Advik

Advik – a smart bright 12 year old boy who was not only academically brilliant but was a complete all-rounder. Extremely good at sports and in the field of music, acting, dancing, writing, public speaking, etc. Even more striking and stand-out was the fact that he was a very curious child who wanted to understand anything and everything that he came across. He was very well travelled and very much into nature. He was always a very passionate child and his passion towards cricket and wild-life was unmatched.

At a very young age of 7, he qualified for the international level of Spell Bee exam, where he was taken to Mumbai and then to Kochi for the final levels. He secured the top rank and gold medals in Olympiads multiple times. He used to score more than 95 percentile in national level Asset examination. He was amongst the best students in the class with an A+ in almost all subjects and also among the favorites of all his teachers.

On top of the school curriculum, he was also learning coding (Scratch and Python) and had already started writing computer programs. He learnt to play key-board at a very young age, and had given performances. He learnt Hindustani music from a teacher & cleared 3 levels. He took acting classes from Anupam Kher Academy with a certificate. He was a part of a Starting Line cricket academy (Venkatesh Prasad & Sujith Somasunder) for almost 6 years (till before the lockdown), and was a very good wicket-keeper batsman (his favorite cricketers were AB De Villiers and Ajinkya Rahane). He got coached on tennis, badminton and swimming as well. He got a black belt in taekwondo. He was also very well travelled and had been to many parts of India (from Himalayas to Kanyakumari) and also internationally (South East Asia, to Middle East to Europe).

He loved adventure and was fearless in trying everything at a very young age – from river rafting, to zip-lining, to jet skiing & snorkeling. He was a doting brother to his 7 year old sister Vedika.

Advik also had a lot of dreams and plans – Represent his school, his city, his state and finally India in cricket. Herpetology Study of venoms (his knowledge of snakes & reptiles is unparalled for someone his age) Go to Sundarbans for a camp, see the one horned rhino at Kaziranga, visit Amazon basin, go for a cruise in Nile, visit the African safari, and so on when he grew up, he was keen to be a part of National Geographic or any such organization where we would be with nature and wildlife. He would have surely had a great career in science (since he was a brilliant in the same), and might have gone on to become a doctor or a scientist.
